SH Volunteer Kent Run

Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County– South Haven Unit’s Keystone and Torch Club members’ mission is to give back to their communities.  On May 24, 2014, the Club members took their mission to Boone Grove to help raise funding for cancer research and awareness of leukemia and lymphoma.  From 6:30 a.m. until noon, Torch and Keystone members Brianna Cox, Hailey Childers, Ashley Cytlak, Chloe Davis, Zach Cytlak, Tyler Goodman, Cameron Taylor, and Rebecca Piatek served as event volunteers in Kent’s Run that started at Boone Grove Middle School.

“Volunteer spirit is what makes Kent’s Run so successful and the members from Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County were excellent volunteers assisting our event’s runner services and parking.  Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County helps us to raise approximately $40,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society,” states Race Director Reggie Flesvig.

For their participation, each Club member received a Kent’s Run t-shirt and event breakfast.
